It’s been exactly 1 year ago since my last post, so I thought it’s time to write something. You might have noticed that I wasn’t busy with the site. Today is also the day that ShareConnector turned 7. I’m amazed that it’s already been so long since it’s existence. I know this site has become a boring place, so I’ve been thinking what to do with it. Recently I changed the look and feel but I can’t say it’s 100% finished yet, so I’ll tweak some things here and there. Anyway, the idea is to make ShareConnector an useful and helpful place.

As you can already see, I’m trying to bring you the latest news from all around the web about freedom, privacy, sharing, piracy and copyright. Depending on my motivation and time dedication, I’ll try to write some items in respect to the current situation of those subjects. Furthermore, I’ll write some tutorials about various ways to download stuff and how to deal with your multimedia content to enjoy it the way you like. Other than that, it’s possible that I’ll write about issues which I encounter and how I solved it, so it’s all about sharing knowledge and helping others.

Now let me say something about the legal issue we still haven’t fought till the end with BREIN (dutch MPAA/RIAA). As I said earlier, after the verdict of January 2008, we went for an appeal because the judge was not clear in her judgment as of why it’s not appropriate, an assumption based on thin air. We will try to make things even more clear this time, while BREIN continues with their shameless propaganda, still trying to convince the judge that it’s copyright infringement.

Anyhow, we are now preparing for the appeal which should take place somewhere this year. Even if we win this, I will probably not have the time and motivation to resurrect ShareConnector for the third time. Currently I’m trying new things, times have changed, everything’s different.

  1. Why don\’t you just release the code and whatnot if you win (hopefully) so the site can be resurected if not here, somewhere else by another indivudual. Many of the top sites that were taken down have resurfaced even after they got sued and shut down under new ownership, they have reopened. sharereactor.com is back for the 3rd time now.

  2. Hey, it is great to read another post from you!
I am an old school Shareconnector fan.
I still check here all the time, maybe hoping it one day will be the great site it used to be. If not… ohh well, it is nice to know you still keep the site alive. Take care mate!

  3. Sometimes I reminisce and come back to this domain to see what\’s going on. It\’s sort of sad to know that\’s more or less gone for good.
